Valentine Madness is the newest tournament coming from WePlay and just like the Winter Madness edition, this one will feature 12 teams, a total of $100,000 prize pool split between the top six finishers and additionally, a new format.

Announced as “3 Game Guarantee System,” the Valentine Madness format will grant an extra chance to those who lose in the first round of the lower bracket. Technically, the tournament will be held in a double elimination bracket with an extra game chance for survival for those who lost the first round of the lower bracket. First lower bracket game, as well as the extra chance match, are a best-of-one brawl, the rest of the series are best-of-three with a best-of-five grand final.

Valentine Madness is an invitational tournament. Four of the 12 teams attending it will be seeded straight into the quarterfinals. Gambit Esports, the champions of WePlay Winter Madness are already confirmed to be one of those 4 squads to start from the quarterfinals. The tournament will be held February 9 to 16 and more information on who will join the battle will come in the next few days.
