After news of the departure of Song ‘Sccc’ Chun came earlier today, alongside reports of the new Team Aster lineup, confirmation has now come of the new roster with Pan ‘Fade’ Yi also leaving the squad.

Earlier today it was confirmed that Sccc would no longer be playing on the Team Aster squad, as per the players wishes, with his contract ending. Soon after this, reports close to the Dota 2 competitive scene in China put two Royal Never Give Up members as joining the roster in the position one and two roles. This has now been confirmed as Xu ‘BurNIng’ Zhilei, co-owner of the organisation, announced the new roster via his stream – which includes the departure of Fade too.

Aster’s new roster will feature Du ‘Monet’ Peng as well as Liu ‘白学家’ Yuhao, both having played for RNG up until now. With RNG having recently withdrawn from the currently ongoing ESL One Thailand 2020: Asia, this was rumoured to be the case. However, it was also confirmed that Jiang ‘天命’ An would be joining the new roster, replacing the captain, Fade. Finally, the coach for the team was announced as Zhang ‘LaNm’ Zhicheng moves into that role.

The full new Team Aster roster is:

  • Du ‘Monet’ Peng
  • Liu ‘白学家’ Yuhao
  • Lin ‘Xxs’ Jing
  • Ye ‘BoBoKa’ Zhibiao
  • Jiang ‘天命’ An

With confirmation of this squad from the co-owner himself, we now await to see when they will see their first action after the Chinese reshuffle completes. For the likes of Fade, Sccc and Kee ‘ChYuan’ Chyuan Ng, nothing is currently known of where they will be heading but with a few weeks left in August, we’re likely to see more news come out the Chinese region regarding these players.
