The Europe Divine division group stage is nearly over with three teams already eliminated from the contention for a spot into the playoffs stage.

Only the top three teams from each of the two groups will advance to the playoffs, and while the battle for the third spot in Group A is pretty contested as a three-way tiebreaker is set to be played in order to determine who goes further and who is eliminated, the Group B has already decided it’s winners and losers.

Unfortunately for the Dendi fans, B8 didn’t manage to clinch a spot into the playoffs. Last night’s series was their last chance to stay in contention, but given the tense situation in Belarus, their offlane player, Oleg “LastHero” Demidovich was once again without internet and B8 had to play with Andrey “Ghostik” Kadyk standing in and lost their match-up against HellRaisers 0-2. This wasn’t the first time in the tournament when B8 had to find a solution for their team members from Belarus. Two weeks ago, LastHero was even arrested and detained for a few days during peaceful protests in Minsk, the Belarusian capital.

Along with B8, Team Empire and 5Comrades have also failed to make it to the top three of Group B and will not advance to the playoffs. Instead, HellRaisers, Team Unique and Cyberium Seed are the three who will move forward from this group.

In Group A, Cyber Legacy have absolutely smashed competition, taking the top place with a clean 5-0 run, followed by Omegalil who advanced into the playoff upper bracket courtesy of a 4-1 result.

TEMPO, Khan and EXTREMUM managed to force a three-way tiebreaker for the last spot into the playoffs and will play a best-of-one knockout round tomorrow, August 28 starting at 17:00 CEST.
