After departing the squad in May of 2018, Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović has returned to Renegades according to the organization. The Serbian had coached the majority Aussie lineup for a year and a half prior to his departure following the ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals.

During his tenure as coach, kassad had helped lead the Renegades to two victories at the Asia Minor’s and a first-place finish at the SL i-League Invitational. You can find the official Twitter announcement below.

kassad rejoins a lineup that doesn’t look quite the same as Noah “Nifty” Francis and Karlo “USTILO” Pivac have moved on leaving spots that were filled by Sean “Gratisfaction” Kaiwai and Jay “liazz” Tregillgas. Nifty has found a new home in the recently revealed resurgence of EnVy in CS:GO while USTILO is still in free agency.

Nifty has been replaced by Aaron “AZR” Ward as the in-game leader and will lean heavily on kassad until he finds his footing in the leadership role.

With this lineup Renegades has managed a 3-1 record and playoff appearance at StarSeries i-League Season 6 taking place now in Kiev, Ukraine.
