Two of the biggest names in CIS Dota 2 complete negotiations to swap RodjER and Lil.
ESL One Genting 2018 concluded only a few days ago – with both Natus Vincere and Virtus.pro falling to elimination to Evil Geniuses. While neither team picked up any Dota 2 Pro Circuit points from their placements, Virtus.pro were quite comfortably in 2nd place on the rankings – until today.

According to the official statements released by Na’Vi and Virtus.pro, the VP organization had long been interested in Vladimir ‘RodjER’ Nikogosyan, however it was only after their poor results in Genting that RodjER stated his desire to leave the black and yellow organization and thus negotiations began for his transfer in exchange for Ilya ‘Lil’ Ilyuk. The GM of VP had the following to say, while the organization’s full statement can be found here
“I’m happy to announce that our negotiations with RodjER and NAVI have been successful. It marks an important addition to our line-up before the key half of the season that will make our team stronger.” Roman Dvoryankin – General Manager of Virtus.pro.
The CEO of Natus Vincere also had a few words from their side, and a full statement from Na’Vi can be found here
“I always believe that whatever happens is for the best: we now have an experienced player, a Major champion who, in these circumstances, will be exceptionally motivated and willing to help us achieve the goals which we have set.” Yevhen Zolotarov – CEO of Natus Vincere.
Speaking on his transfer to Na’Vi, Lil had the following to say and his full statement can be found above,
“It may sound a bit hypocritical, but back when I was starting my professional career, I really dreamed of playing under the NAVI tag. It isn’t like I pursued this dream very persistently, but in this situation, such an opportunity is, perhaps, a blessing.” Ilya ‘Lil’ Ilyuk.
The new Na’Vi line-up is as follows:
- Vladislav ‘Crystallize’ Krystanek
- Danil ‘Denid’ Ishutin
- Victor ‘GeneRal’ Nigrini
- Ilya ‘Lil’ Ilyuk
- Akbar ‘SoNNeikO’ Butayev
With this transfer, Na’Vi move from their previous low spot in the Pro Circuit Rankings into a Top 5 position due to Lil bringing his 900 points with him – while the rest of Na’Vi all have 105 each. On the other side, RodjER’s 105 points move VP out of 2nd place and behind Team Liquid, to 3rd.
