When you hear there’s a new first-person shooter and Michael “shroud” Grzesiek, Jardy “summit1g” Lazar, Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham, Coby “dizzy” Meadows and Erik “fl0m” Flom are teaming up, you expect a slaughter. That’s exactly what fans got, except it wasn’t the aforementioned on the winning side.

During a show match against the developers of Riot Games’ highly anticipated VALORANT, shroud and company were outclassed and it was beautiful to watch.

This match showcased just how experienced some of the talent behind the game as several pro players are part of the development team of VALORANT including Sal “Volcano” Garozzo, a former Counter-Strike professional and creator of de_cache.

Their mechanics were sound as they blew the stream team away with their knowledge of the abilities, map, and more. The number of times they surprised dizzy’s side with the things they were able to do did a lot to give a glimpse at the depth of the game.

Only able to get 10 rounds across all three maps played, shroud and company’s aim was no match for the developer’s advantage in terms of understanding the game.
