During IEM Katowice 2024 in CS 2, G2 Esports player Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov brought together a formidable dream team. This talented lineup comprised of two exceptional members from the BetBoom Team, showcasing Osipov’s strategic vision and knack for assembling a strong roster.
But the most unusual decision by Osipov was the choice of coach. He expressed his desire for Alexander “s1mple” Kostylev to become the team’s coach, despite his lack of coaching experience. The full roster is presented below.

This unexpected choice reflects Osipov’s belief in s1mple’s exceptional skills and game knowledge, which he believes can greatly benefit the team’s performance.

On the 9th of February, G2 faced a disappointing exit from IEM Katowice 2024 as they were defeated by FaZe Clan in a hard-fought battle. Despite their best efforts, Osipov’s team managed to secure a respectable 5th-8th place finish, earning them a prize of $40,000.
Looking ahead, the team’s focus now shifts to the upcoming European RMR event for PGL Major Copenhagen 2024. Scheduled to take place from the 14th to the 22nd of February in Romania, this tournament holds great significance as it will determine the allocation of 17 coveted slots for the inaugural CS 2 major in history. The participants will face intense competition as they strive to secure their place in the history books.
