Former professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham has officially return to competition, albeit in a different game – VALORANT. The 26-year-old has been out of competition since September 2018 when he stepped away from the Cloud9 CS:GO lineup for an indefinite break.
He’s reunited with two former teammates on the T1 VALORANT roster in the form of Braxton “swag” Pierce and Keven “AZK” Larivière. Both were members of the infamous iBUYPOWER lineup that saw all but Skadoodle banned from competition in CS:GO by Valve for matchfixing.
Skadoodle completes the lineup which also features Austin “Crashies” Roberts and Victor “Food” Wong. As former CS:GO players themselves, the lineup is made up completely of former professional/semi-professional players from the title.
While not competing in any of the tournaments together officially, many of the players on the lineup have competed in some of the cups and streamer events put on during the closed beta with decent results.
At this time, the hype around Skadoodle returning to competition is certainly great, but what we all want to know is does he still have it. Can Skadoodle be the pillar he was in the North American CS:GO scene years later in VALORANT?
T1 VALORANT roster:
- Tyler “Skadoodle” Latham
- Braxton “swag” Pierce
- Keven “AZK” Larivière
- Austin “Crashies” Roberts
- Victor “Food” Wong
