Evil Geniuses have officially announced the signing of Wilton “zews” Prado to the coaching role for the Counter-Strike team. This put Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz back into a team with zews whom he’d played under during his time with Liquid. In the end, he’d be benched and open up by stating that “at the end of the day we are just fundamentally two different types of leaders.”
As mentioned in a previous article covering a report by DBLPTAP, the 32-year-old was brought back into the fold of the Brazilian lineup as part of a deal between Team Liquid and MIBR that saw Jake “Stewie2K” Yip head to the former while Epitacio “TACO” de Melo and zews moved to the latter. Things didn’t work out for the squad, however, and now it seems he may be getting a shot with a new top-level squad.
Evil Geniuses also split with Chet “ImAPet” Singh recently after an apparent issue between the coach and Peter “stanislaw” Jarguz and Tarik “tarik” Celik. He described their relationship as “horrendous” in a TwitLonger.
ImAPet has been with the roster since May 2018 when they still represented NRG. EG made their return to CS in September by signing the team alongside their coach. The team soared into their highest ranking under EG and took home trophies at IEM Shanghai 2018, ESL One New York 2019, and StarSeries Season 8.
