Morten “zEVES” Vollan has been brought on as the head coach of Copenhagen Flames the organization has revealed. Previously it was the Director of Esports Daniel Vorborg who had to also juggle the head coaching duties.

“I’m very excited that we are able to announce Morten as our new head coach, as we’ve been looking for the right person for the position for quite a while,” Vorborg explained in the official post. “In Morten we get a very experienced person who can help elevate our relatively young squad.”

zEVES had competed as a player for the likes of LGB, Norse, Nordavind, and even Copenhagen Flames before moving into his first coaching role with Dignitas in 2017.

“I’m beyond excited to get this opportunity. For me this is a breath of fresh air and a chance to redeem myself because the past years has been rough. It makes me proud to get to work with such a hard-working organization and talented players,” zEVES stated.

CPH Flames are currently vying for a spot at the ESL One: Rio Major via the Road to Rio event. The Danish lineup currently sits on a 3-2 record with matches against FaZe and mousesports still on the books.
