Right after the FACEIT Major London and their disappointing result with their first Major ever out of the top 8, fnatic decided to bench and sell Robin “flusha” Rönnquist to Cloud9. This decision marked a real turning point in the history of the Swedish team, as the player had become an icon for the organization.
About a week later, William “draken” Sundin was also put on the bench and replaced by Red Reserve player Simon “twist” Eliasson. At the same time, Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom is helping them to complete the roster and play official matches as a temporarily stand-in.
While the ScreaM idea is not that bad, the real goal for fnatic is to take their time to buy another Swedish player to go back to a full Swedish lineup.
According to our information, fnatic is really interested to bring in the young Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin. The 16 years old Swedish player is mostly known for his time in GODSENT (now Red Reserve) and his good skill level at such a young age.
Brollan is the main target for fnatic and the possibilities are pretty limited if the organization wants to bring a player speaking swedish. Brollan already played with fnatic once for the WESG Europe Finals in 2017, where he was standing-in for KRiMZ.
Sources told us that Red Reserve is not letting the player go that easily and negotiations are ongoing in between the two organizations. It appears that talks are moving in the right direction and it would not be surprising to see an official announcement in the coming days.
