Today, the Shanghai Dragons announced via twitter, six new pickups for Overwatch League Season Two. The players signed are Bae “diem” Min-Seong, Yang “DDing” Jin-Hyeok, Jin “YOUNGJIN” Young-Jin, Yang “Luffy” Sang-Hyeon, Son “CoMa” Kyung-Woo, and Jo “GuardiaN” Jun-Hwan. DDing, YOUNGJIN, Luffy, and CoMa were notably part of Kongdoo Panthera’s Contenders Season Two roster, that finished in second place after losing to RunAway in the final.

In addition, DPS player diem hails from the extremely successful Lucky Future Zenith, which has taken both Contenders China titles. GuardiaN was not currently on a team during the acquisition, but he has spent time on the ROX Orcas, Lunatic Hai, and Toronto Esports as a flex player.

The Shanghai Dragons facilitated a primarily Chinese roster for Season One before bringing on Korean talent, but failed to win a single game — going 0-40. Shanghai’s new roster signings signal a new Korean initiative with Lu “Diya” Weida being the sole Chinese representative as a DPS player.

The Shanghai Dragons roster is as follows:
