Among a strong pool of players, SoOn was extremely successful on the Los Angeles Valiant as the team’s primary Tracer and Widowmaker player while ShaDowBurn was a workable Genji and Pharah player on the Philadelphia Fusion during Stage 1 of the Overwatch League. NiCO is well-known for being a flex-player on Rogue during the team’s heyday prior to the Overwatch League era. Kruise also rounds out the team as another popular player, having been voted to Team United Kingdom for the Overwatch World Cup two years in a row.
Paris’ lineup is a stark contrast to the other European representative, London Spitfire, who won Overwatch League Season One with a full-Korean roster. The organization itself is also notably not funded by an endemic esports organization, as it is spearheaded by the son of Frank McCourt, former owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and current owner of French soccer club, Marseille.
