Big news for the Overwatch League and the Philadelphia Fusion in particular as the “Fusion Arena” has been announced.

The new facility which will be the home arena for the Overwatch League team will be located in the Philadelphia Sports Complex and provide seating for 3,500 fans.

This announcement comes on the back of a relatively successful Season 2 Stage 1 final in which the Vancouver Titans took down the San Francisco Shock in the Finals.

This is one of the first steps in the direction of getting a dedicated home arena for the league. A goal of the league when it was announced was for each and every team to have their own venue, and this is a step in that direction.

Up to this point and for the upcoming future, matches will continue to be played at the Blizzard Arena in Los Angeles, California.

While it’s still going to be awhile before it will be open to Fusion fans, it’s big news and it should be expected many more announcements are on their way. The venue will also be open to hosting musicians and other opportunities to help cover the expenses and perhaps even draw some attention to the team and league.
