World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) returns once more with  $5,500,000 on the line, the biggest prize pool of a third party tournament, and it will continue to promote the same Olympic standard used in the past two years.

Six games will be featured at this third edition of WESG where only National teams can participate.  For this year, WESG expanded from PC and console games and for the first time, they will run a full competition for the mobile MOBA game Vainglory.

  • Pro Evolution Soccer

 

Same with last year, this new season of WESG will hold separate competitions for women in CS:GO and HS. Players from 206 nations and regions will be able to compete against each other and 25 offline tournaments overseas will take place. The first region to kick off the regional qualifiers is Southeast Asia.

 

WESG will run local National qualifiers in 10 different SEA Countries: Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Laos, Brunei, Myanmar, and Brunei. Registrations for all the 10 countries and all the games have already started and will stay open until the 31st of July. Those interested to sign up can do so on WESG’s official website here.  The 10 countries will run their respective online qualifiers followed by the National finals from August 1 to September 30 with the Asian Regional Grand Finals set to take place in November 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

WESG Global Grand Finals are announced to be held in March 2019 in a yet to be revealed location.
