Stan “LuckBox” Cifka is the second person to qualify from a black/red dominated Group B at WePlay’s Artifact tournament. The Czech fell in the opening match against Joel “Heffaklumpen” Larsson but climbed back to take revenge on the Swede in the decider.

Although both decks were BR Aggro, it wasn’t a complete mirror, as StanCifka had opted for a Bounty Hunter in the place of Heffa’s Sorla Khan. But the differences didn’t end there. Opting for a 41-card list, Cifka’s deck had a bit more tech cards: Spot Weakness to counter armored heroes; triple Legion Standard Bearer to make his own board durable; and Tyler Estate Censor, whose de-ramp effect was the MVP of the whole day 1.
As you can tell from the tweet, StanCifka is also streaming the deck now, so if you fancy playing aggro in Artifact, that’s the place to learn how.
StanCifka joins Cong “StrifeCro” Shu, Adrian “Lifecoach” Koy and Sebastian “Xixo” Bentert in the playoffs. The latter qualified as the winner from Group B, running his own unorthodox black/red aggro list, sporting Tinker and The Oath.
The tournament continues today with groups C and D. In terms of decklists, now made public, viewers should expect even more renditions on the black/red aggro and red/green midrange archetypes.
