It was just a troll. That’s what BREN Esports coach Francis “Duckey” Glindro said in a statement regarding the ONIC vs. ONIC and Aura vs. Aura picks for the ONE Esports Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Pro League Invitational. The $100,000 event will run from November 26th to December 7th.

In the statement given to Manila Bulletin, Duckey said “No rationale behind the picks really. Just wanted to troll and let them face each other early on.” BREN were one of four teams able to pick the teams competing in their portion of the bracket and decided to spice things up with some sister-team matches.

“I was to pick Alter Ego but James picked them. So if you’re reading this James, I just wanted to let you know I hate you,” he said in jest in the article.
