Recently, SPOTV News disclosed that SK Telecom T1 has been in contact with Kingzone Dragon X’s top laner Kim “Khan” Dong-Ha, as well as former Flash Wolves jungler Kim “Moojin” Moo-Jin, and JD Gaming’s Kim “Clid” Tae-Min. After failing to reach the World Championship this year, it is unsurprising to see major shakeups for SK Telecom T1. Inven also reported that SKT has been connected to its 2017 jungler, Han “Peanut” Wang-Ho.
After a tough year in LoL Champions Korea, SKT needs major changes to remain competitive next year. After struggling to find a solution in the jungle among Kang “Blank” Sun-Gu and Park “Blossom” Beom-Chan, Clid and Moojin are obvious targets along with Peanut. Park “Thal” Kwon-Hyuk was also inconsistent as SKT’s top laner so it is unsurprising to hear that Khan is in the mix as well.
SKT has constantly shifted through top laners, going from Jang “MaRin” Gyeong-Hwan to Lee “Duke” Ho-Seong and even Heo “Huni” Seong-Hoon in just the past few years. Khan struggled on a team level with Kingzone this year, but there is no doubt that he remains a mechanical monster. It might not be the best fit on paper, but Thal and Park “Untara” Ui-Jin were largely unreliable in 2018.
However, given Moojin’s past and current relationship with Thal — the two still regularly duo on stream together — it is not unlikely to see this top and jungler duo reunited. Moojin was a steady, passive jungler in the LoL Masters Series with Flash Wolves and may just be the jungler that SKT needs to succeed in the future. Though, Clid has been an impressive jungler for JDG the last year and is an arguably more enticing addition on an individual level.
