Team Liquid’s new jungler, Mads “Broxah” Pedersen has received approval for his P-1A US visa and is expected to join Liquid on the LCS stage shortly, the player himself confirmed on Twitter.
“It’s such a relief to have my visa approved so I can travel to LA and join my team and get to play some games in the LCS,” Broxah said.
In Broxah’s absence, Team Liquid have been playing with Shern “Shernfire” Cherng Tai in the jungle to mixed success in the first two weeks of LCS play. Liquid currently sit at 2-2, with losses to Cloud9 and Dignitas, and wins over TSM and FlyQuest.
According to ESPN, Broxah is unlikely to be in LA in time for LCS Week 3. During that week, Liquid are to play 8th place team Golden Guardians (1-3), as well as 100Thieves, with whom they’re tied for 4th. With GGS being one of the weaker opponents this early in the season and with 100T’s wins being against low-placing teams, this could finally be Team Liquid’s chance to end the week on a positive net score.
Team Liquid acquired Broxah after parting ways with Jake “Xmithie” Pucherro during the 2019 off-season, who then joined the ranks of Immortals. If Broxah is available for Liquid by week 4, he will get the chance to go head to head with his predecessor, as Liquid faces Immortals in the opening match of that week.
