More roster changes are hitting LCK’s Gen.G, as today the team said goodbye to Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in, Kang “Haru” Min-seung and Moon “Mong” Chang-min. The trio joins Kang “Ambition” Chan-young and Lee “Crown” Min-ho, who ended their contracts  with the organization this Thursday.

Like Crown and Ambition, CoreJJ and Haru were part of the Worlds 2017 championship winning roster, then playing as Samsung Galaxy. With such a massive outflow from players, top laner Lee “CuVee” Seong-jin and AD carry Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk are the only two remaining world champions on Gen.G’s roster. The move also means that so far, Gen.G will be playing with a rookie on the support role in Kim “Life” Jeong-min.

The roster move leaves a lot of question ahead of Gen.G, though such a major roster shake-up was expected. The team notoriously failed to get out of groups at Worlds 2018, finishing last in their group with a 1-5 record. This marked only the second time a Korean team failed to make Worlds playoffs and remains the worst showing of an LCK team in the tournament’s history.

So far, Gen.G’s roster revamp has the biggest one since KongDoo Monster’s who straight up disbanded earlier this month. However, multiple reports indicate that LCK is headed for another round of shuffle madness, this time involving SK Telecom T1. The three-times world champions are rumored to re-sign jungler Han “Peanut” Wang-ho, as well as refresh their other positions as well. Top laners Song “Smeb” Kyung-ho and Kim “Crazy” Jae-hee have been the subjects of speculations regarding their potential future with SKT. further reported that at least three SKT players are likely to leave the org by the end of the current off-season.
