Only a few junglers in the history of the LPL have managed to carve out a name as big as Ming ‘Clearlove‘ Kai, the legendary League of Legends player that amazed the community since the very beginning (from Season 2 to be exact).
The path of the Chinese jungler began back in 2012 when he played for two months in the mid lane with the now-disbanded Team Phoenix. It was at the end of that year when he changed his role to the jungle by signing with Team WE.
Later in 2014, Clearlove joined the team that would become his home, EDward Gaming, with which he spent five years in the jungle, until December 2019, when the player decided to hang the mouse and became EDward Gaming’s new Head Coach.
When this happens, it is usually the first step towards a definitive retirement, but today we started the day with a big surprise: Clearlove will be returning to EDG’s roster as a player!!

“I am back“. With this message and the insane video shown on the team’s official Twitter account above, the organization announces to the world a very important movement (announcement also made through the Chinese website Weibo), that will bring back the legend to the place he belongs: the Summoner’s Rift.
For the moment we don’t know who their teammates will be, despite all the theories and rumors that have started running within the community, that already mention players like Xiaoxiang of Flandre for the top lane, Scout for the mid lane, Viper or Hope as AD Carries, or Meiko as the Support, which would mean the departure of Aodi, Jiejie, and JunJia.
Stay tuned with us to know all the news, announcements, and roster moves that EDward Gaming and the remaining LPL teams are still to make!!
