According to a report from dbltap, the next CS:GO Major has been awarded to ESL.
If the report is accurate, the first Major of 2019 will be run by the German-based company and potentially take place only five months after the FACEIT Major taking place in London this September. This would be three months shorter than the eight-month window between previous Boston Major and upcoming Major in London.
The post does reveal that while exact dates and times are not confirmed, sources have named Katowice as a likely location and goes in line with the companies IEM Katowice event.
Valve had previously stated it would begin announcing Majors earlier as to allow event organizers and teams more time to prepare.
The upcoming FACEIT Major has reached the Minor stage with the North American portion kicking off July 7th.
