Hi-Rez Studios popular Battle Royale, Realm Royale will be extending onto different platforms as early as next week. Released as just a PC game, Realm Royale and Hi-Rez Studios announced that a closed beta testing period will begin next week, requiring players to acquire a key.
The excitement and anticipation for the console release of the game has been brewing for quite some time. “Since Realm Royale first released on PC, the top three questions on social media have been ‘Console’, ‘PS4?’, and ‘Xbox?’,” said Rory Newbrough, the executive producer of Realm Royale. “I’m not sure if any of those are actually questions, they were more like demands.”
One of the biggest things that has attributed to Realm Royale’s success has been their transparency and their willingness to listen to the community. Newbrough recognized the success formula in listening to the community and said, “We understand our community wants Realm Royale on console, and we’re thrilled to announce console closed beta testing starts next week. We’re very thankful for the millions of PC players who have entered the Realm so far, and we’re incredibly excited to share this game with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players very soon.”

Join The Closed Beta
So how do you get involved with the closed beta testing? It’s super simple. All you need to do is head to www.RealmRoyale.com and you’ll see “Play Free Now” and “Sign Up For Beta”. To the right of the “Sign Up For Beta”, you’ll see the Playstation logo as well as the Xbox logo. That’s where you’ll want to be clicking.
Realm Royale has been a breath of fresh air in the BR community. Instead of releasing just another traditional BR following the same outline, they changed the game. They brought in something as simple (yet, hilarious) as chickens and forges. These two staples of Hi-Rez’s latest masterpiece are giving players a variety in the world of BR’s.
Plus… dying as a hilarious chicken isn’t as tilting.
