It’s that time of year when Epic Games island turns into the epicenter of festive chaos—Fortnite Winterfest 2025 has officially launched, and frankly, it feels like the biggest surprise from the developers in a while. This massive event, by the way, has been in full swing since December 18th and will run until January 5th, 2026, so there’s plenty of time to farm gifts, even for those who decide to log in after the holidays.
The system is simple. Log in every single day, run to the cozy Winterfest cabin, and collect your daily loot. Pretty cool. The publisher decided to go all out this time, rolling out a whole bunch of crossovers that, frankly, surpass everything we’ve seen in previous seasons.

New skins and collaborations with Harry Potter and Bleach
Epic Games has been inundated with announcements, and it looks like there’s something for everyone. The focus is on Harry Potter, SpongeBob SquarePants, and the long-awaited return of Bleach. Unexpected, really. In fact, Harry Potter seems most appropriate here, given the Christmas atmosphere, although it must be said that the characters will only receive themed skins of the Hogwarts school uniforms.

As for the rest of the roster:
-
Bleach is arriving with four characters.
-
SpongeBob will delight us with the Patty Wagon, and SpongeBob and Patrick will apparently become sidekicks.
-
Back to the Future, by the way, will expand on December 23rd, adding Doc Brown and a Delorean-style car skin.
Interesting. The music scene isn’t empty either: Hatsune Miku and Sabrina Carpenter are returning with new winter skins and fresh tracks. It’s powerful.
Map Changes and the Return of Fortnite OG Weapons
The island itself has been transformed beyond recognition—festive decor and a ton of interactive elements are everywhere. But the most interesting part, in fact, is hidden in the gifts scattered around the map. Inside, you can find weapons from Fortnite OG, which, frankly, adds a nice twist to the familiar gameplay. It seems Epic has decided to mix old school and modern trends in one pot.
So, here’s the release schedule for the main skins:
-
December 18th — Massive landing from the Harry Potter universe (Arithmancy Ace, Potions Perfector, and others).
-
December 19th — Snow Miku.
-
December 20th – Bleach’s main characters (Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, and company).
-
December 22nd – Festive Sabrina (Santa ‘Brina) and Alpine Lexa.
-
December 23rd – Legendary Doc Brown.
Fair enough. If you’re aiming for Cheeks (the main cabin skin), get ready to open 13 gifts – this will likely be the final point of your winter marathon.

Rumors about Home Alone and Batman Beyond, by the way, are still lingering, but frankly, there’s almost no room left for them in the current schedule. However, you can expect anything from Epic. That’s it. Get your V-Bucks ready, Strategist – this event promises to be truly top-notch.
Winterfest Cabin Free Gift List
The holidays are essentially a time for freebies, and Epic Games has rolled out a pretty exciting rewards system. The central hub of the event is the legendary Winterfest Cabin, where you can claim one gift daily for 14 days. Fun fact: while you won’t find any Harry Potter memorabilia in the boxes themselves, the cabin itself is literally littered with Easter eggs from the Wizarding World. Quite unexpected, right?
What exactly, judging by the looks of it, has dropped into our loot pool? First, two key skins: Glacial Dummy (unlocked after the 7th gift) and Cheeks (you’ll have to wait until the 13th). That’s the basics. Secondly, there’s a mountain of cosmetics: the Festive Gwinny and Winterfest Bow back bling, the Wrapped Axe and Festive Bat pickaxes, and a letter-shaped hang glider. Interesting. Plus, there are the Glacial Groove and Bard’s Gem guitars, the Snowman wrap, and a ton of graffiti (from No Sweat to Fire-born).
Overview of gameplay changes and festive event mechanics
The island has been transformed. In fact, the northern half of the map is now completely covered in snow—it looks spectacular, to be honest. Festive decor has been brought to almost every location, except, apparently, the Los Angeles area—snow doesn’t seem to be in fashion there.
By the way, themed toys have returned to the arsenal: snowballs and blizzard grenades. But the real highlight is the gifts right on the battlefield. Instead of the standard junk, they now drop OG loot (Fortnite OG loot pool). Pretty cool, really. By the way, there’s a secret way to score some free stuff: speed up the Delorean from Back to the Future to 88 mph—and a plutonium chest will spawn on the roof, by the way. A killer reference.
There’s also a new “boss”—the Yule Trooper. Honestly, he’s more of a laugh. His main gimmick (or curse) is slippery feet. If you try to play as him, beware of cliffs. Ice and heights aren’t exactly a great combination.
XP-Blitz: A Strategy for Leveling Up to 100+ During an Event
Fortnite events are a goldmine for those looking to speed through the Battle Pass. My new XP-Blitz concept is, frankly, a nuclear blend of secret activities, bonus loot, and clever abuse of LEGO modes from Festival, allowing you to level up to 100 levels without any sleaze like cheats.
Secret Quests for Bonus XP
Secret Quests are usually hidden deep within OG mode or limited-time events—they consistently offer 4-5 quests, each awarding 10,000 XP. So, I must say, 40,000+ XP can be earned in just half an hour of lazy gameplay.

Check the quests tab immediately after patches: for example, in Chapter 1 of Season 1, you often need to visit specific locations like The Hive or rummage through crates in O.X.R. HQ. Incidentally, I recommend completing these quests in the first few minutes after the update—that way, you’ll get a half-level head start while other players are still stuck in the lobby.
How to activate Supercharged mode and collect coins
Bonus coins now spawn in Blitz Royale gold chests—grab them without hesitation, as they not only boost your level in a match but also provide a nice bonus for surviving. Interesting. Activate Supercharged XP—apparently, this can be done by simply ditching quests for a couple of days. When you return, you’ll find your XP multiplied by x4, giving you a guaranteed 5 bonus levels. Incidentally, you can farm coins right in the Winterfest Cabin event until January 4, 2026—just team up and use Party Assist for shared progress.
Methods for Passive XP Gain in LEGO Fortnite
LEGO Fortnite is currently the king of passive leveling: 15 minutes of doing nothing nets you 30k XP, and 3 hours can net you 420k, which is equivalent to 5+ levels. Powerful. Although Epic Games is constantly fixing AFK behavior, the foundation still works: log in after a server reset, build something simple, and go to bed—you’ll have 10+ levels by morning. Just do this after completing the main objectives in the Cabin: weekly LEGO missions net you another 256k XP, and it’s completely safe, as long as you don’t spam emotes like crazy. Daily rewards in Festival and Rocket Racing modes
The Festival music mode consistently rewards 165k XP for weekly sets—that’s two levels for just a couple of tracks, by the way. Rocket Racing isn’t far behind, either—you can earn 256k XP weekly just by driving around the tracks while the battle royale mode is paused. It makes sense. My setup is simple: jump into Festival in the morning (you can even AFK to the music), and then race in Racing in the evening—and you’ll end up gaining 10+ levels in a week without breaking a sweat.
An effective farming cycle for completing the Battle Pass
Run a proven cycle: spend 1 hour on BR quests (20k XP), 2 hours in the LEGO World (60k), and the final hour in the Festival (40k). That’s a total of 120k per day, or 1.5 levels. Add in the Supercharged x4 multiplier and hidden activities, and you’ll have 500k+ experience daily.

Over a week of active event play, this yields 3.5M base experience plus bonuses—in short, those same 100+ levels (at 80k each). I personally tested this in Chapter 7 S1: on map 6920-1849-5604 in Creative, it’s possible to level up 10 times per day, and without any bugs. The Best Creative Maps for Fast Leveling
Table: XP per hour by mode
| Mode | XP / hour (Supercharged) | Levels / hour | Best Quests |
|---|---|---|---|
| BR + Hidden | 100k (400k) | 1.25 (5) | Weekly quests, OG quests |
| LEGO Fortnite | 140k (560k) | 1.75 (7) | Building, AFK farming |
| Festival | 120k (480k) | 1.5 (6) | Dailies, music quests |
| Blitz Royale | 80k (320k) | 1 (4) | Boosts, eliminations |
| Total Cycle | 440k (1.76M) | 5.5 (22) | Daily combo rotation |
For quick leveling, use trusted platforms like 5253-8468-3364—they give out 50k in half an hour for destroying bots and collecting coins. By the way, only enter private lobbies and use AFK emotes, but be mindful of your limits: Epic can slap you with a 30-day ban for excessive spamming. This is ideal if you’ve already maxed out Reload (which gives you 50 levels in 37 hours of play).
Tips for optimizing progress and team play
-
Forget about Daily Challenges for Supercharged—the x4 mode is worth it.
-
Work in a group: Party Assist is completely ineffective for team missions.
-
Reached level 50 in BR? Jump straight into LEGO or Festival—they don’t have hard limits.
-
Check the journal: you can earn a total of 1.2M XP for milestones, which is 15 levels. True. In 2025, it’s best to avoid questionable bugs—focusing on official modes will save your account from permanent damage.
Final
All in all, Winterfest 2025 is the perfect capstone to an incredibly busy year for the community. The transition from the finale of Chapter 6 to the start of Chapter 7 was, it must be said, epic. Collaborations with Harry Potter, SpongeBob SquarePants, and the return of Sabrina Carpenter and Hatsune Miku are, in fact, the best gift for players. That’s it. We’re closing out the year in style.
