It’s time for cheaper subs on Twitch! That’s right, it’s September and that means for the rest of the month you can get a discount on new recurring subscriptions.
This all started in 2017 when SUBtember gave users the ability to get half-off subscriptions. In 2018 it changed to giving 20% for any person who was gifted a sub and decided to continue it. It would return to 50% off subscriptions in 2019, but once again move away from it in 2020.
From September 1 to September 30, 2020 Twitch users will receive discounts on 1-month, 3-month, and 6-month subscriptions (up to 30%).
This you’ll receive 20% off your first month of a regular monthly subscription, 25% off if you chose to subscribe for three months, and 30% off if you choose to subscribe for six months up front. It’s important to note that the streamer will continue to receive their full value from the subscription. “Streamers will continue to receive the full value of a subscription, and there’s no limit on the number of channels you can subscribe to using the SUBtember promotion,” Twitch explained.
You can see the full breakdown below.
- 20% off the first month of new recurring 1-month subscriptions. ($3.99 instead of $4.99)
- 25% off the first 3 months of new recurring 3-month subscriptions. ($11.22 instead of $14.97)
- 30% off the first 6 months of new recurring 6-month subscriptions. ($20.95 instead of $29.94)
It’s also been claimed by Twitch partner Renee that current subs can take advantage of this deal as well.
It requires a little bit more work but could be exactly what some people need to support their favorite streamers for a bit longer than usual for the cheaper price.
