Earlier today announced their rebranding which will see them dropping the famous orange that they are known for and don a new colour, following a partnership with MegaFon. Alongside this rebranding, the organisation have also extended their players contracts until the end of 2019.

The VP Dota 2 roster has been prolific in recent times, winning 4 Majors in the Dota 2 Pro Circuit and claiming the first direct invite to The International 2018, which starts in just under a week. In a statement released on their website, VP team captain, Alexey ‘Solo’ Berezin had the following to say on the contract extension:

As obvious as it may sound, is our second family. As we approach TI 2018, the contract renewal is extremely important for us. We understand the trust our organization puts on us and the gravity of the matter. At the moment, we’re giving our best in practice. We’re sure we’ll approach the tournament in our best form.”

The team’s passion throughout the DPC season has made it clear that they are one of the heavy favourites for the TI8 Aegis of Champions. The trust between the team and the organisation is clear and that is why they are all locked in for the ride through the next season of the DPC. The General Manager of VP, Roman Dvoryankin, had the following to say on the team’s contract and rebranding;

Long-term contracts are rare in the esports world, but they are key to long-lasting partnerships. This way, we’re taking another important step in the direction of enforcing a more rigid set of rules that are already universally accepted in the traditional sports. Obviously, we’re all anticipating and preparing for The International 2018. This is of highest priority for us. We’re happy to have the current line-up participate in the greatest international tournament.”

We look forward to seeing the Dota 2 roster taking part at The International 2018 next week and continuing forward in the next year of Dota as well.
