Earlier today it was announced that and Na’Vi would be headlining the Maincast Autumn Brawl, a new venture by Vitali ‘V1lat’ Volochai and Andrey ‘x3m4eg’ Grygroriev. Just a few moments ago it was also announced that 3 more teams would be added into the mix; Team Secret, Gambit Esports and Ninjas in Pyjamas. These teams join in starting the tournament directly in the 2nd round of the playoffs – bypassing the group stage of the event.

NiP is the new squad of Peter ‘ppd’ Dager which formed just a few weeks ago and have already qualified for both the upcoming ESL One Hamburg 2018 and the first major of the new season of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit, the Kuala Lumpur Major. Their invite comes alongside Team Secret’s, who are also going to be at all three of these events. The third and final team to join into the mix at Maincast’s Autumn Brawl is Gambit Esports. The team are not a new one, but rather they are the ex-ferzee squad who were just recently picked up by Gambit and will hope to make a great showing after they almost qualified for The Kuala Lumpur Major – knocking out teams like Na’Vi, Winstrike, Espada and Team Spirit, but ultimately losing to in the grand final.

Alongside this the talent for the event was released and it includes some of the best and most well-known faces in the game. The talent list is:

  • Ioannis ‘Fogged’ Loucas
  • David ‘Godz’ Parker
  • Darren ‘Killerpigeon’ Elmy
  • Owen ‘ODPixel’ Davies
  • Jorien ‘Sheever’ Van Der Helden
  • Kyle ‘Kyle’ Freedman
  • Admir ‘Lizzard’ Salkanovic

The first few days of the tournament will probably be covered by the likes of Godz and Killerpigeon as the rest of the talent are currently in Singapore for the current PVP esports tournament.

Maincast Autumn Brawl starts tomorrow and runs all the way through until October 14th, with the 20 teams battling for a share of $80,000. The event has a great mix of both CIS and European teams and should be a great precursor to the start of the DPC season.
