A huge series was on the cards as the second of the day at The Bucharest Minor as OG took on Ninjas in Pyjamas in the Lower Bracket. One of the teams would be taking their leave from the event at the culmination of the series while the other would move on to face Keen Gaming later today to fight for a guaranteed top 3 finish at the Minor.

The current champions of The International, OG, were punished for their sloppy drafting by Gambit Esports in the Upper Bracket yesterday and they would be hoping to change this and move forward at the Minor. In their way would be another TI victor in the form of Peter ‘ppd’ Dager’s Ninjas in Pyjamas squad.

OG seemed to come into the series looking ready to dominate as they rolled over NiP in game one. It took barely 25 minutes for the game to end and it was, in part, due to Igor ‘iLTW’ Filatov’s Phantom Assassin. Empowered by a Magnus and destroying the NiP heroes, OG took a quick and decisive first game. With their back’s up against the wall, NiP came out strong to tie up the series and forced a final game. NiP starved OG of kills and farm and even when OG brought out a Divine Rapier, NiP were prepared to fight and take the game.

NiP went into the decisive game on a high from their victory in the previous one and even though the early game was fairly even, they begun to pull ahead, leaving OG in the dust. OG were battling to find kills and were consistently getting picked off everywhere around the map.

OG continued to struggle and NiP had no problem burying the TI champions and securing a guaranteed top 4 spot at the Minor. NiP will now go on to face Keen Gaming later today.

The action from The Bucharest Minor is far from over for today, with 2 series still to come including another elimination series which follows the Upper Bracket Finals which are up next – with EHOME taking on Gambit Esports.
