In just a few days’ time we’ll have 12 teams heading to the United Kingdom for ESL One Birmingham and it should be an absolutely epic event. The talent for the event was announced a few weeks ago and the groups are also now set for the pre-Minor showdown.

Group A

Group A has six massive teams in it with the likes of Vici Gaming, Team Liquid, TNC Predator and OG among others. This will definitely be the more intense group with Major winners, TI winners and Minor winners all within its ranks. With the bottom two teams from each group being eliminated, you can expect some huge games with all teams throwing everything that they can at one another.

Group B

While not as intense as Group A, Group B still has a host of fantastic teams including Dota 2 Pro Circuit dominating, Team Secret and The International 2018 runner’s up PSG.LGD alongside Evil Geniuses as well. While the likes of Gambit Esports and Alliance could struggle against the bigger teams, this is a great platform for some of the teams to get practice for the upcoming EPICENTER Major and StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor.

With just five days left until ESL One Birmingham 2019’s group stages get underway, the teams are definitely getting ready to battle for the $300,000 prize pool. To get us part of the way there, there is Minor qualifiers currently underway with the likes of Alliance and Ninjas in Pyjamas battling for the European slot.
