After victory at the first Major of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit season, TNC Predator were easily considered one of the best teams – but since then, the team has seemed shaky as they completely miss the next rotation of Minor and Major.
Southeast Asian region qualifiers for the ESL One Los Angeles Major ended just a few days ago and for TNC Predator, it was a tough lesson. With a poor group stage run, TNC were unable to reach the top four and give themselves a shot at the Major but they did secure themselves a chance to reach the StarLadder ImbaTV Season 3 Minor. However, things did not start well for TNC as they suffered an early defeat to BOOM Esports before reaching the lower bracket finals – which concluded just a short time ago.
While TNC were able to take the first game of the series, RR proved their strength as they took down the MDL Chengdu Major champions, knocking them out of the qualifiers. While this means that TNC will miss both the Minor and another chance at reaching the Major, the team still currently hold the top spot in the DPC rankings and have already secured enough points to reach The International 2020. For RR, they will now have to fight BOOM in the grand finals of the Minor qualifier.
For TNC, it will be back to the drawing board as they will definitely be hard at work preparing themselves for the next qualifiers which will begin towards the end of March. The Minor qualifier Grand Finals are currently underway as we will see which team will represent the SEA region in Kiev at the StarLadder ImbaTV Season 3 Minor.
