First season of Dota Pro Circuit in the China region will be welcomed by Perfect World with a true festival vibe.

An open ceremony featuring all the 16 teams fighting through the Upper and Lower divisions of Season 1 China Regional League will be held on a LAN setup on the 18th of January, the tournament organizer announced. More so, the Upper Division matches will be held in a LAN setup on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays with limited seats for the audience.

All invites have been revealed along with open and closed qualifiers formats. Top four teams in the region got a direct invite to the Upper League and will fight for one of the four slots up for grabs for the first Major of the year.

Upper League directly invited teams:

  • Vici Gaming
  • Elephant

Eight more squads got seeded into a double elimination bracket which will serve as a closed qualifier round to determine which four will advance into the Upper Division and which four will be starting the season in the Lowe Division.

Closed qualifiers invites:

  • Team Aster
  • Royal Never Give Up
  • Invictus Gaming
  • Sparking Arrow Gaming
  • Phoenix Gaming
  • Team MagMa
  • LBZS
  • Dalanjing Gaming

Open qualifier rounds will allow four more teams to join the Lower Division competition and as in most of the other regions, the open gauntlet will begin this coming Monday, January 4. Those interested to sign up for China open qualifiers will find all the info necessary on the Perfect World official website.

Perfect World are also giving free tickets for the fans interested to watch the Upper Division matches live from the venue. The tickets are available in a limited number and will be released for each day of the competition.
