ESL One Mumbai was announced a month ago, however, the event is bound to collide with the Dota Pit Minor, a Dota Pro Circuit event which will have a different kind of importance for some of the teams.

India’s first ever big LAN tournament is scheduled for April 19-21 while the Minor will commence on the European continent, in Split, Croatia on the 22nd of April, hence the schedule conflict. However, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Alliance have been already confirmed as the first two directly invited teams to the event in Mumbai and with no other updates from ESL One, the regional qualifiers are expected to start this week, on the 27th of February.

Natus Vincere and Gambit Esports were two of the teams featured in the EU/CIS qualifiers, but both of them declined the participation citing a packed schedule. Kaipi and Team Jekich will replace them.

  • The Pango
  • Kaipi
  • Team Jekich

One team from each region will qualify for the LAN event with seven more squads joining them as direct invitees. ESL One Mumbai will offer a $300,000 prize pool and will unfold at the NSCI Dome. The regional qualifiers will be played February 27-March 1 in all five regions.’
