After two breathtaking upper bracket series at the OGA Dota PIT Season 4: Europe/CIS event, it was time for eliminations with mudgolems and Live to Win being the first two teams battling for their tournament lives.
Live to Win had just finished a rather fantastic run through the EPIC League Division 2, where they finished second to Alliance in what was a great showing from the team in the grand finals. Although losing to Natus Vincere in their opening upper bracket series at the OGA Dota PIT Season 4: EU/CIS yesterday, they team were ready to fight through the lower bracket with mudgolems having many struggles in recent times.
Although mudgolems weren’t looking great in recent times, you could never tell from the first game in the series as they run over LTW with ease. While the game did last over 40-minutes, there was no point at which mg were behind, with Ondřej “Supream^” Štarha’s Storm Spirit going 17-2-14 and taking an early lead. However, game two was a complete turnaround as LTW finally showed their strength with a brilliant Sven from Kiyalbek “dream” Tayirov – the player standing in for Igor “iLTW” Filatov who is standing in for OG at the event.
Much like the preceding games of the day, another full three-game series was on the cards as the two teams now had one game left to decide who would be eliminated from the event. Unfortunately for LTW, after their brilliance in the previous game, they could not seem to find their footing again as mg cruised to a 2-1 series victory.
With that, mudgolems secured their passage into the next round of lower bracket action where they will face Team Nigma. For Live to Win, their OGA Dota PIT Season 4: EU/CIS event comes to an end, unable to produce the same results they did at EPIC League just a few days ago.
