Gambit Esports dissolved their entire Dota 2 roster back in June after an unsuccessful run in The International 2018 qualifiers. Three months later they welcome two of their former players back as they sign Ivan “VANSKOR” Skorokhod’s newest stack, Ferzee.

Ferzee was formed in the post TI8 shuffle and in just two months they made waves in the CIS Dota 2 scene. They delivered the first big upset at the Kuala Lumpur qualifiers, where they came from open brackets to claim one of the two tickets available for the CIS region at the first major of the season. A couple of days ago they made it to the Reshuffle Madness grand finals from upper brackets, but finished second after getting defeated by Alliance. This week they played in another online event, GG.Bet Invitational, and are one series away from securing a top four finish. With results coming in so fast, Gambit Esports noticed them and announced today their return to Dota 2 by signing Ferzee.

“Dota 2 is a fan favorite game in our region, we’ve always understood that and looked for different solutions to be involved in the scene,” said Konstantin Pikiner, CGO at Gambit Esports, adding that the Ferzee players and Gambit management “understand that the scene is extremely competitive not only globally, but also at the regional level. We’ve got serious challenges ahead of us and we’ll do whatever we can as an organization to provide appropriate conditions for practice and performance.”

Two of the Ferzee players were on the last Gambit Dota 2 team disbanded back in June, namely Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin and Vasily “AfterLife” Shishkin. Today they put back the Gambit t-shirts and embark onto a new journey with the organization, hopefully, a more successful one than the previous roster had.

Gambit Esports roster from position 1 to 5:

Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin
Andrei “Afoninje” Afonin
Vasilii “Afterlife” Shishkin
Rinat “KingR” Abdullin
Ivan “Vanskor” Skorokhod
