Valve released on the 10th of January 2020 an invitation for everyone who is interested in creating item sets.
Titled “Spring” 2020 Call to Arms, Valves announcement might suggest that there will be more opportunities, perhaps seasonally, for the workshop artists to showcase their skills when it comes down to Dota 2 customizations. The Spring CtA doesn’t have many thematic restrictions. The artists are free to let their imagination run wild, but they should avoid “concepts that involve human skulls, blood, and gore,” as per Valve announcement.
Those who wish to submit their creations in the Steam Workshop must do so until March 2nd, 2020 and label their applications with “Spring 2020.” The last Call to Arms made for the Dota 2 workshop was for The International 2019, when for the first time the Dota 2 community was able to vote for the submission via the game client. Valve didn’t mention if this Spring session will also involve an in-game public voting system, but they do encourage the players to review the submissions in the workshop.
