With the regional qualifiers for the upcoming final Minor of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit season well underway, another team has made it into the event – with the North American champion being decided.
The upcoming StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor season 2 should be an extremely hotly contested Minor and the qualifiers for the event are much the same. The NA qualifier featured the likes of compLexity Gaming and J.Storm and those were the two teams to battle it out in the final for the region’s spot at the event. While not having the best DPC season, coL have definitely been on the radar of NA teams to watch but unfortunately have not really made an impact.
The team managed to make it to their first Major with the recent MDL Disneyland® but after eliminating beastcoast, they could not progress any further. This saw them change things up, taking out a player and adding in the Brazilian, Otávio Gabriel ‘tavo’ Cerqueira Silva into their ranks. The EPICENTER Major qualifiers was their time to shine and coL put in some great performances but would meet Evil Geniuses in the grand finals – which was definitely not an easy series. Unfortunately, this led them to the Minor path and they now have a shot at redemption if they can make it through the daunting StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor path.
With four teams from three regions now confirmed for the Minor, there are only a few more spots available. By the end of tomorrow, all eight teams will be confirmed for the Minor and we will only have a few weeks before the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor season 2 kicks off.
