VP.Prodigy and Natus Vincere have both been eliminated from OGA Doat PIT Season 2, leaving FlyToMoon the only hope for CIS to grab the tournament trophy.

VP.P were knocked out of the competition by OG who delivered a surprise opening game with an Io carry for Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng and in a true TI9 fashion, they crushed with it.

Nonetheless, the youth line-up of pulled themselves together in the second game and after banning Io in the first phase, they went with an element of surprise of their own by playing musical chairs with their lanes and forcing OG to lane against a mid-Doom, a safe lane Venomancer and an offlane Ember Spirit for Egor “epileptick1d” Grigorenko.

OG ran a rather greedy line-up with two big cores, Wraith King and Faceless Void and having to adjust their lanes as well, they couldn’t execute the game plan being harassed from early stages. The Faceless Void was in Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen’s hands in the mid lane and got ganked from early stages and has always been the main Doom target, Midone couldn’t be the threat he would have wanted on his offlane WK while Sébastien “Ceb” Debs couldn’t do much in the safe lane on Nature’s Prophet to stop VP.P’s aggression.

With the series going to distance, OG came to game three determined to dominate the laning stage and punished VP.P for their Phantom Lancer late game plan, thus eliminating them from the tournament in the 5th-6th place.

Unfortunately for the CIS fans, the day went from bad to worse as two of their representative teams went head to head in the next series, also with elimination on the line. FlyToMoon and NAVI finished the first game dead even in the kill score, 24 to 24 but the scoreboard alone doesn’t reflect the dominance that FTM applied on the map with a Drow Ranger – Vengeful Spirit combo and a mid lane Nature’s Prophet. The second game went in the same dominant fashion for FTM who closed the series 2-0 courtesy of a nearly spotless performance from Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasilenko on Viper.

Both Fly to Moon and OG will play against each other later today to decide which one lives to see another day in the event and reach the lower bracket finals. The series will close day 2 of OGA Dota PIT Season 2, but before then, Alliance and Team Nigma are set to dispute the upper bracket finals.
