Natus Vincere withdrew from Beyond Epic citing roster instability. Their spot was given by the organizers to the qualifiers finalists B8.

The European and CIS portion of the competition at Beyond Epic kicked off today, however, NAVI’s first series was scheduled to happen only Thursday, June 18. Unfortunately, the NAVI fans won’t have the chance to watch their team in action anymore but will be able to cheer for the former NAVI superstar, Danil “Dendi” Ishutin and his refurbished B8 line-up.

B8 made drastic roster changes after not being able to win a single series for more than two months. They replaced four players, keeping only the team founder Dendi before they entered the Beyond Epic qualifiers and managed to break their long 26-0 losing streak. They got defeated 2-0 by in the qualifier campaign finals and lost the ticket to the event due to multiple internet connection issues for Dendi. In the finals series aftermath, Dendi confirmed with his internet provider that he got DDOS attacks two days in a row during the qualifiers matches.

B8 current roster from position 1 to 5:

  • Arets “Crystallis” Remco
  • Danil “Dendi” Ishutin
  • Oleg “LastHero” Demidovich
  • Enis “5up” Elfki
  • Dmitriy “Fishman” Polishchuk

Hopefully, Dendi or any of the B8 members will not be targeted by DDOS attacks during their run in the tournament. Their first adversaries will be Team Unique, the series being scheduled to end day four of the group play, on June 18.

In the meantime, NAVI will be taking the time to build their roster and ask their fans to have a bit more patience until they will be ready to enter the competitions again.

“The team is still in the process of formation: we continue to test players and, unfortunately, are not yet ready to play official matches. Therefore, forced to withdraw from Beyond Epic. I want to thank the tournament organizers for their understanding.

I ask our fans to be patient a little longer, we are already at the finish line and will be on alert by the end of the month,” said Igor “caff” Sidorenko, Dota 2 team manager in the official announcement issued by the organization.
