Late in January the famed Dota 2 player Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin revealed his new organisation and now, just a short time before the next open qualifiers get underway, the full roster has been confirmed.
After playing with both Tigers and The Pango last year, Dendi has not seen much Dota 2 action except for a few brief appearances alongside CIS squads. However, on January 28th, 2020, it was confirmed that the famed player would be creating a new esports organisation named ‘B8’ and earlier today, we finally got a look at their roster, with Dendi returning to the frontlines of Dota 2 once more.
Prior to this, in December of 2019, Dendi had released a preliminary roster of players for this project and since then, three of the same names, including Dendi, remain on the B8 squad – with Alik ‘V-Tune’ Vorobey and Alexey ‘nongrata’ Vasilyev not making the cut.
The full roster for B8 now is:
- Alexandr ‘pio65’ Zalivako
- Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin
- Andrey ‘Ghostik’ Kadyk
- Rinat ‘KingR’ Abdullin
- Nikola ‘LeBronDota’ Popovic
While most of the team is fairly well-known in both the CIS and general Dota 2 community, pio65 is a relatively new name, having played mainly in regional tournaments, except for his closed qualifier run with Gentleman as they tried to reach the DreamLeague Season 13 Major and WePlay! Bukovel Minor.
With the CIS open qualifiers for ESL One Los Angeles 2020 kicking off tomorrow, we will get our first chance to see this team in action as they will need to fight through into the closed bracket to have any chance at reaching the Major or Minor. With the CIS region featuring Gambit Esports, Na’Vi and Virtus.pro, to name but a few, this will not be an easy road for Dendi and his new squad, but we look forward to seeing what they can do.
