Lai “AhJit” Jay Son is Mineski’s newest player, EsportsHeaven reports. The carry player replaces Thiay “JT-” Jun Wen, who was loaned to Newbee earlier this month.

AhJit is a veteran of SEA Dota and boasts several high finishes with a number of teams. In 2016, he placed top 8 at the Boston Major, losing in the quarterfinals to eventual champions OG. Next year, as part of Fnatic, he qualified for The International 7 but to a disastrous result. Despite boasting a line-up of veterans like Khoo “Ohaiyo” Chong Xin and Djardel “DJ” Mampusti, Fnatic finished dead last in their group as the second worst team in the tournament.

Red more: Mushi replaces AhJit on Tigers

After Fnatic, AhJit joined Fire Dragoon and Clutch Gamers before ending up on Tigers in September 2018. His tenure with the latter was short-lived, however, and peaked in a first place finish at DreamLeague Season 10. On Jan. 19 this year, AhJit was released together with Muhammad “inYourdreaM” Rizky and into free agency.

In the current line-up of Mineski, AhJit will partner with the likes of TI runner-up Damien “kpii” Chok, former Fnatic team-mate Kim “Febby” Yong-min and captain Johan “pieliedie” Åström. His first test with the Mineski jersey will be ESL Katowice, Feb. 22-24 and the SEA qualifiers for the DreamLeague Major.
