Abed, iceiceice and co take down TNC Predator to reach BTS Pro Series SEA grand finals

Team Dog, a line-up put together by two Evil Geniuses members, currently stuck in Southeast Asia and unable to play with their team along with high profile teamless players from the region, takes BTS Pro Series Season 4 SEA by storm.

Team Dog line-up:

  • Muhammad “inYourdreaM” Rizky
  • Azel “Abed” Yusop
  • Daryl Koh “iceiceice” Pei Xiang
  • Wilson “Poloson” Koh Chin Wei
  • Tue “ah fu” Soon Chuan

Featuring both Abed and iceiceice, undoubtedly some of the best SEA players in their roles, Team Dog had a decent group stage run in the group play at BTS Pro Series Season 4. They placed fourth in the group to secure an upper bracket start in the playoff and continued to improve their teamwork through the tournament. Now they wait for their grand finals opponents to be decided in the lower bracket rounds.

Both T1 and TNC Predator have lost their battle with Team Dog in the playoffs and are now fighting with elimination on the line along with Fnatic in the lower bracket. The tournament is set to come to a close tomorrow, December 20, when both the lower bracket finals and the grand finals will be played. TNC Predator secured a top three finish and will open finals day fighting for a shot at bouncing back in the grand finals and perhaps take revenge on Team Dog. In the meantime, T1 and Fnatic are dueling in the lower bracket semifinals.

For Abed, who hasn’t been able to play for Evil Geniuses since March, when the competitive scene switched to online only tournaments, this event marks his third grand final appearance in a SEA online event. He made it to the BTS Pro Series Season 1 grand finals by standing-in for TNC. Last month he played under the Among Us tag, which was a similar stack with Team Dog, featuring teamless players from the Southeast Region, and placed again second after losing the grand finals to Motivate.Trust Gaming.

Most likely, BTS Pro Series Season 4 will be the last tournament where both Abed and iceiceice will be able to compete outside their actual team. While Abed has been under the EG banner since September 2019, iceiceice has only joined the North American team last month.

With the Dota Pro Circuit announced to kick off on the 18th of January 2021, both players are set to spend the end of the year at home and get ready for a new beginning on US soil next year.
