There is always a fight between the Dota 2 and League of Legends communities about which is the best MOBA out there. That debate was ignited by Yiliang ‘Doublelift’ Peng’s claim that there was a 0% chance that Dota 2 requires a higher mechanical skill ceiling as compared to League of Legends. All this happened on his stream when he was talking with his followers. He claimed that when he played Dota, he just stomped every game. That was all two time TI winner Johan ‘N0tail’ Sundstein needed to take this matter ahead, which he did in a tweet.
I too went into my first and only league games and shitstomped them 🌞🤷— Johan Sundstein (@OG_BDN0tail) December 24, 2019
If on average pro games have 4-5 kills in 30 minutes, what are the critical objectives?
Is it like a mega extended laning phase where it's all about last hits / harras?
League of Legends games usually have a fewer kills than compared to a game of Dota 2, sometimes, as N0tail said in his tweet, as low as 4-5 kills in 30 mintues, which hardly happens in Dota 2. He then put out an idea on how comparisons between the two games can be made via dialouge, while acknowledging that both games are great.
An idea:@Ceb_dota and I meet up with two achieved and well spoken LoL players, discuss the pros and cons of each our respective scenes.— Johan Sundstein (@OG_BDN0tail) December 24, 2019
Follow-up that with an in depth discussion on our games differences.
Obviously both games are great, curious to which aspects are harder💯✌️
Doublelift hasn’t responded yet and it will be interesting to see what he has to say in to N0tail’s tweet. Remember, N0tail has won the Holy Grail of Dota 2, The International, twice where as the best result Doublelift has had in Worlds, which is the TI equivalent of LoL, was 4th place in 2011. So N0tail definitely has bragging rights in that department!
But like N0tail said, both games have their merits. Which game do you think is better and why? Let us know in the comments!
