The Lower Bracket of The Chongqing Major kicked off today with the best-of-one elimination matches for 8 teams. Alliance were the first to fall earlier followed by The Pango a little while ago and now Forward Gaming and J.Storm would be the 2 teams on the chopping block. FWD had a decent run through the Group Stage, taking games off both PSG.LGD and Team Secret, but unable to close them out. However, as we’d seen in the previous two best-of-one matches, the teams with no wins seemed to excel – would J.Storm follow suit?
The first non-Timbersaw game of the day would see J.Storm struggle early in the game with Lee ‘FoREv’ Sang-don’s Centuar getting picked off multiple times. But Forev recovered and helped his team into a massive recovery when they claimed 4 from the Radiant lineup.
In the closest series of the day this far, both teams were throwing everything at one another and even with 2 barracks down, J.Storm kept fighting, stealing an Aegis and Roshan kill and keeping themselves ahead in the net worth and kills.
It was by far the longest game of the Major at 70 minutes and it would be J.Storm that came out on top, winning the North American Dota 2 battle at The Chongqing Major and eliminating Forward Gaming. For the third time today a team without a previous victory came out victorious and J.Storm would move on to face Fnatic in the next round.

The final elimination match of the day would be up next with TNC Predator fighting against Team Aster.
