After several months of standing- in for various teams, Danil “gpk” Skutin has officially departed Gambit Esports and joined Virtus.pro Prodigy.
VP.P’s decision of signing gpk comes after the CIS prodigy mid lane player stood in for the team at the end of September at OGA Dota PIT Online Season 3 and helped them reach the grand finals.
“Danya is not just a promising player. He has already proved himself on the professional stage. In addition, he showed himself excellently at OGA Dota Pit Season 3, playing as a stand-in for us. It is doubly pleasant that Danya joins a team of like-minded people and players with whom he already has established personal contact. This is very important because character compatibility and chemistry in Dota is one of the key factors on the outcome,” Sergey Glamazda, Virtus.pro general manager commented upon signing gpk.
gpk on joining VP.Prodigy:
“Our roster is young, but we all have the highest understanding of Dota and we all want to win. Thank you for supporting us, we will try to achieve good results.”
With him officially joining the ranks, VP.Prodigy now have just one puzzle piece missing to round out the roster. At the aforementioned season of OGA Dota PIT, they played with Ilya “Lil” Ilyuk also standing in, but since then, Lil has joined HellRaisers.
