As teams and players continue to be stuck in a world without The International or the Dota 2 Pro Circuit, we have seen a huge increase in professional players reaching the 10,000 matchmaking rating mark – but a third has now reached 11k, Danil ‘gpk’ Skutin.
Earlier this year we had the first ever player to reach the 11,000 MMR milestone in Dota 2 as Abed Azel ‘Abed’ L. Yusop made his way to the amazing achievement. Following this Nuengnara ‘23savage’ Teeramahanon became the second player to achieve this milestone and now it has been confirmed that a third has joined in at this monumental rank in Dota 2 as Danil ‘gpk’ Skutin has announced his new ranking in the 11K club.
First confirmed in a picture via the players official Instagram account, gpk was seen to reach the amazing milestone, followed by a congratulatory message from Gambit Esports – the players current team. However, although registered as a player in the squad, Gambit have not had a full roster for some time and currently gpk is playing as a stand-in for Evil Geniuses at OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Division.
Strangely enough, gpk is standing in for Abed, as EG make their first shot at participating outside of the North America region. Gpk is an extremely well-known player throughout the CIS region, and at only 19-years of age, the player also holds an amazing record for the most hero damage dealt in a single professional game as Zeus – which he claimed during the DreamLeague Season 13 CIS qualifiers late in 2019. With his new 11K MMR milestone, you can catch gpk in action again with EG on Thursday as they attempt to take down Alliance in the group stage.
