India has been confirmed as a hub of Dota 2 action in April 2019 as we know Mumbai will be the venue for both ESL One’s premier event as well as the Cobx Masters. The first direct invite for the Cobx Masters has now gone out and the country will see one of the biggest names in the game heading their way.

Cobx Masters is a small tournament that features 6 teams – 2 from Southeast Asia qualifiers, 2 from India Qualifiers and 2 direct invites. The 2 region’s qualifiers have already wrapped up with Exclamation Mark and DeToNator taking the SEA spots while Signify have claimed the Indian Closed qualifier spot – with an open qualifier team still to emerge for the event.

Alongside that, Tigers received the first direct invite for the tournament. The team have not been at many events lately, having failed to qualify for ESL One Mumbai 2019 and the currently ongoing Dota 2 minor. However, the team does feature the likes of Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin and David ‘Moonmeander’ Tan but after losing Chai ‘Mushi’ Yee Fung, it will be interesting to see if they keep utilizing Kim ‘Velo’ Tae-sung as a replacement.

Cobx Masters is set to take place from April 5th to 7th 2019 and will feature a sizeable $100,000 prize pool. While the tournament is small, it will be great to see some of the Dota 2 talent of India as well as some of the best SEA teams battling it out over the weekend.
