The Lower Bracket kicked off with a best-of-one elimination match for 8 teams. The first of these to go head-to-head would be Alliance and Chaos Esports Club, both fighting for their tournament lives. While Alliance had looked promising in the Group Stage but just could not come out ahead in their last series. On the other side, Chaos had a terrible start to the Major and a win would be their first of the tournament.

Aliwi ‘w33’ Omar got himself a Timbersaw from the draft and just 8 minutes into the game was already up on the highground in the top lane. Alliance seemed extremely lost early in the game and w33 took full advantage of this by running at his opponents constantly. As the game progressed, Alliance were hoping that their Anti-Mage could find some farm to turn the tides of the game – but Chaos were already pushing barracks down.

By twenty-five minutes the game was completely over, with Chaos hitting tier 4 towers and forcing the GG from Alliance. Alliance would find themselves being the first team eliminated from The Chongqing Major.

For Chaos Esports, they would have their first series win at the best time possible, ensuring that they would stay alive in the tournament – moving on to face Vici Gaming tomorrow. Next up would be The Pango versus Thunder Predator followed by tons more Dota 2 action from The Chongqing Major.
