RedBull to Host Dota 2 and Fortnite Tournaments at AdrenaLAN

Toronto will be the home of Red Bull’s AdrenaLAN, a weekend-long Bring Your Own Computer (BYOC) taking place at The International Centre July 27 – 29.  The world prominence of Dota 2 and the rocket-like rise of Fortnite will come together for the first ever Red Bull AdrenaLAN. Registration for the event officially starts Thursday, May 17 and is open to any player interested in three days of competition, community and cash prizes.

Fortnite Tournament Details

Four hundred players will battle it out in more than 200 total duo competitions over the course of Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29 with the battle bus leaving every five minutes from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. It’s a weekend of duos but there are no roster restrictions, giving players the option to switch teams and attempt to outrun the storm on their own terms. The winning team of each match will take home $200 CAD and teams with the most overall victory royales will close out the weekend with a winner’s match.

Dota 2 Tournament Details

Sixteen team slots are up for grabs for players to compete in two days of matches on Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29 from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. The competition will start with a randomly assigned group stage where teams will battle in a best-of-one, round robin series to determine the top seed of each group. All teams will advance to the next bracket, a best-of-three double elimination based on results from round one. The top two teams from the double elimination round will advance to the best-of-five grand finals and compete for their share of $5,000 CAD.

Players are welcome to arrive at the venue starting Friday, July 27 to setup their equipment, game and stream.
