Recently left on the outside, Clinton ‘Fear’ Loomis and Kyle ‘Kyle’ Freedman will take their chances via South America open qualifiers along some of the regional stars.
Fear was removed from Evil Geniuses at the same time with Misery less than a month ago, in the ESL One Birmingham aftermath. Kyle, on the other hand, has been removed from CompLexity Gaming back in March when the team was eliminated from the Bucharest Major in the group stage matches. While Kyle took by storm the analyst desks of the latest DPC tournaments, becoming one of the fan favorite commentators and analysts, Fear had a really short time to adjust. Very recently he became a dad and many thought he will dedicate his free time to the family, but the old man is restless and perhaps he wants his revenge for what can be regarded as one of the biggest blind side shuffles happened before an International.
As soon as the Supermajor came to an end, Fear announced his move to Peru to bootcamp with his new teammates.
Leaving for boootcamp tomorrow! I'm looking forward to spending time in Peru for the first time in my Dota career. First time in a while being excited to play 😀 🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪

Team GDV features Enzo ‘Timado’ Gianoli, who made his TI debut last year with Infamous, and Alexis ‘Greedy’ Ventura also a former member of Infamous. The irony is that SA’s most famous teams are all in the open qualifiers and they will all fight for the one spot available from closed qualifiers to The International 2018. While SA has just one ticket up for grabs for the most anticipated tournament of the year, North America has been granted 3 slots and the battle will be fierce. NA’s biggest contenders for the 3 spots are OpTic Gaming, VGJ.Storm, compLexity Gaming, Immortals and of course Evil Geniuses.
The International 2018 open qualifiers will start in all the six main regions, tomorrow, June 14 so stay tuned for the latest updates!
