Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei took on Weibo last month to announce his intention to resurrect the Team DK flag, but after The International 2018, he said. A week after this information was delivered, the legendary carry made public a roster he said he was testing. Back then, BurNIng mentioned that nothing is settled and whatever he does must be seen as a try-out project. Since his last update on the new team, BurNIng’s contract with Humao.tv expired and he stopped streaming. While he was on the Supermajor Chinese panel, the team he initially announced plus some new names played together in last week’s Battle Cup.
As soon as he returned home BurNIng took a player on loan from CDEC Gaming and registered a rather interesting line-up for TI8 open qualifiers. The team is called Flaming Cyborg, it features six players and BurNIng might not actually be playing at all.
Flaming Cyborg roster:
– Lin “doodle”‘ Zikai
– Ou “Op” Peng
– Xu “Hym” Zhi
– 冷鸟(cold bird)
– Chen “Victoria” Guanhong
– Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei
Doodle played the carry role in the latest Battle Cup and while BurNIng didn’t participate as he was at the Supermajor, it is possible that China’s legendary carry chose to act more like a manager for the new group. The most interesting addition to this stack is Victoria who started the Dota Pro Circuit with LGD Gaming, but he had to be benched out really early in the season due to acute pancreatitis. Victoria left the team before the PGL Bucharest Open Minor and went home to recover. Later on, as LGD had to find a permanent replacement for him, Victoria was transferred to CDEC Gaming from where BurNIng took him now on loan for the TI8 open qualifiers.
The International 2018 open qualifiers will start in all the six main regions, tomorrow, June 14 so stay tuned for the latest updates!
